What CCAlive Stands for in Today's Youth Groups

The Corralitos Community Church, also referred to as CCAlive, provides local youth with activities and support throughout their religious journey. What does CCAlive stand for in today's youth groups?

Values

Teenagers need values to better understand and accept the world - as well as to learn how to acquire the ability to influence it. CCAlive fosters positive values, especially the concept of truth. This provides youth groups with an alternative to the pressure that comes from having to fit into a group with their peers.

Religion

CCAlive approaches religion in a very open-minded way, and addresses issues such as the similarities between religions, the way to God, or the impartiality of God's judgment. These questions naturally come to mind for teenagers, but most churches have a hard time approaching these issues. CCAlive chooses to discuss openly and eventually encourages youth to make their own choices.

Pop culture

CCAlive offers fun activities for youth, based on their own culture. Youth can see movies, attend field trips or activities that revolve around the pop culture of their generation. A lot of churches simply dismiss this culture as non-religious but CCAlive encourages youth to feel comfortable in their time and age and to incorporate religion into their daily lives.

In the end, CCAlives appears as a very open-minded church that works hard to educate youth and encourage them to think for themselves. CCAlive has found an efficient way to interact with youth groups and educate them with positive values and a practical approach to religion.
